Solar Energy Solutions

Now is the time for companies to research the benefits of solar energy on their rooftops or unused land. Solar energy is more economically viable than ever before. The federal government currently offers nearly 64% in tax credits and deductions as an incentive for American companies to invest in renewable energy projects.

ASI is rapidly becoming an industry leader in developing large scale photo voltaic solar energy systems. We specialize in commercial and institutional installations. As an integrator, we develop both private and public projects.

Who Is ASI?

American Solar Integrators, LLC, (ASI) is a North Carolina based company providing 100% turn-key commercial, industrial, and institutional solar installation services on a national scale. We are a business development company with proprietary marketing and finance programs that facilitate growth in the rapidly emerging renewable energy industry. ASI has developed an exceptional team of established industry professionals offering design, construction, maintenance, and financing for our clients.

Let ASI help you discover the many advantages of solar power.

History

Founded in 2009, ASI is a privately held, American owned and operated company with experience in solar energy projects dating back to 2007. We currently have 55 MW of projects in various stages of development in several states. Our projects include some of the largest solar arrays in the United States, including some very challenging brownfield installations. Our partners have extensive experience in land development as well as business ownership and operations.

Ethics and Philosophy

ASI practices complete transparency with all of our clients. As a developer, we charge a pre-negotiated fee to develop and manage all of our installations. Our clients have full access to every transaction for their projects. We provide a detailed financial proforma prior to committing to final contracts. In addition, we maintain strict confidentiality for our clients, power company negotiations, and investors.  At ASI, we believe in doing it right or not at all.

Design Development

American Solar Integrators is an active system designer and developer, sourcing land, negotiating agreements, and processing entitlements for utility scale and distributed generation projects.

Financing

The most challenging component of solar projects is the structuring of an economic model that will attract investment dollars. ASI has partnered with companies whose shareholders include major international banking organizations and investors. These relationships enable us to provide our clients access to substantial financial resources.

Incentives

ASI qualifies all projects for Federal, State, and local incentives. Please connect to www.dsireusa.org for a complete list of incentives state by state.

Maintenance

ASI employs system operations and maintenance disciplines utilizing remote monitoring, manufacturer warranty compliance, and local contracts to offer ongoing maintenance and reporting for solar energy systems of all sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

What Are Photovoltaic Solar Energy Systems?

A:

These systems convert solar energy directly from sunlight into electricity through the use of photovoltaic cells. Photovoltaic devices are also called "photovoltaic modules", "PV modules", "PV cells", "solar panels", "solar cells", "solar chargers", and "solar battery chargers". All these terms refer to the same basic device, although they are made in a variety of forms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

Do Solar Cells Store Energy?

A:

No. Solar cells just convert sunlight into an electric current that must be used immediately or stored in batteries for later use.

Q:

How Well Do Solar Panels Work In The Winter

A:

Solar panels work on light not heat. With shorter daylight hours in the winter, solar panels produce proportionately less power. If the modules become covered with snow, they stop producing power. But snow generally melts quickly when the sun strikes the modules. If you brush the snow off, they resume operation immediately.

Q:

Can I Use Equipment Directly From Solar Panels?

A:

Yes. Solar panels will directly power equipment such as fans and pumps as long as the load is accounted for correctly. Equipment load that is greater than the output of the solar panel will weaken equipment efficiency, as overcast or cloudy days reduce output.

Q:

What Type of Maintenance Is Required On Solar Panels?

A:

Although the production of solar panels incorporates a high-tech manufacturing process, it's really very easy to use a photovoltaic system. Solar panels have no moving parts to wear out, they can be used alone or in combination with other energy sources, and they are silent, reliable and long lasting.

Solar panels benefit from a non abrasive cleansing agent. When reviewing battery levels, check battery connections and fuse holders to ensure that they are clean and dry. If necessary, use a silicon sealant for sealing damage around the frame.

Q:

Are Solar Electric Systems Safe?

A:

Yes. Solar cells are mostly silicon, the primary component of sand. There is no exhaust and no toxic material to leak out of the system. The electricity running through the inverter is just like the electricity available from household sockets. You should use the same care you would with utility power. All components are approved for utility interconnection and are installed according to standard construction practices.
